HDR Masterclass - How to understand and perceive this technology
We will analyze the widest latitude of light and colors available on the new displays as well as a general and complete overview of the fundamental elements of the video images. In addition we will provide you with a complete understanding of video management and digital workflows such as color spaces and gamma, dynamic range, monitors and new formats.
The teacher is Giandomenico Zeppa (DaVinci Resolve 17 Certified End User) is Senior colorist and workflow specialist at the Cineteca di Bologna: for 15 years he has been dealing with the correction of historical films and new feature films. Alongside his work as a colorist, he continues to teach Color Grading and Color Science all over the world at the International FIAF Summer School and as a freelance in collaboration with Adcom in individual or group classes.
In his Portfolio we find the restoration of hundreds of films from all over the world; Italian classics directed by Fellini, Bertolucci, Visconti, Antonioni and all Sergio Leone's filmography. He is active in France where he color corrected Hiroshima Mon Amour by Alain Resnais and Breathless by Jean-Luc Godard. He recently worked on the HDR remastering of Serpico and Cinema Paradiso.
