Leica Q2 Reporter continues a long tradition of Leica cameras specifically designed to meet the challenges of reportage and press photography. Together with its rugged exterior, the camera is distinguished by a particularly discreet appearance, which allows the photographer to work without attracting undue attention. To this end, the Leica red dot and colored engravings have been knowingly omitted from this product variant.
This design variant of the Leica Q2 is wrapped in "armor" made of Kevlar®, a synthetic material known for its exceptional strength. Over time, exposure to naturally occurring UV rays will change the color of the fabric to match the highly scratch-resistant dark green finish of the camera body. In addition to these aspects, the Leica Q2 Reporter offers the same level of protection against ingress of dust and water as the production model.
